Biography

I founded the Career and Wellness Center, PLLC in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide accessible and quality mental health and career coaching services to diverse populations of teens and adults. I have several years of experience providing mental health counseling to teen and adult clients in residential, community, and private practice settings. I also have experience providing career counseling and coaching services to federal employees, high school students, and college students. My clinical areas of expertise include counseling individuals who are:

  • healing from childhood trauma
  • processing racial trauma and stress
  • struggling with anxiety and depression
  • navigating life transitions
  • working through grief and loss.
I have experience assisting individuals with a wide range of career coaching concerns including:
  • finding a career path

  • changing careers
  • navigating current work environments
  • applying to college and graduate school.

In addition to counseling and coaching clients, I am an Assistant Professor in Counseling at a university in Chicago. I teach graduate level counselors-in-training  and research the development of career and mental health interventions for adolescents and adults from historically marginalized backgrounds.
